With mixed feelings — proud of what we have accomplished together, yet sad to see this incredible journey come to an end — we are delighted to announce that the SPHINX project has officially reached its completion!
Over the course of the project, we have worked together, tackled challenges and turned ideas into tangible results. These achievements were presented and discussed during a two-day final General Assembly, co-organised by VOLTEC in Strasbourg and Fraunhofer ISE in Merdingen. The meeting also offered partners the opportunity to visit three of the planned demonstrators: the carport, the noise barriers and Salvaterra — bringing our work to life!
To mark this important milestone, we also organised a final online webinar, bringing together project partners, external experts and participants for one last exchange of insights and ideas.
The session featured inspiring contributions from experts at CSTB, SUPSI and the Becquerel Institute, covering a range of topics central to the project’s mission. Participants had the opportunity to:
- Explore the “SPHINX Stories” — sharing the challenges encountered along the way and the results achieved.
- Discuss the balance between building requirements and human comfort, presented by CSTB, with contributions from our sister project INCREASE.
- Discover the latest progress in BIPV standardisation, presented by SUPSI.
- Explore the cost competitiveness of IPV solutions, presented by the Becquerel Institute.
A big thank you to our external speakers and everyone who joined us for this final webinar — and, of course, to all our partners for the fruitful discussions, dedication and collaboration throughout the entire project.
While the SPHINX project may have reached its final milestone, the knowledge gained, the results achieved and the collaborations built will continue to make an impact. Here’s to what we’ve accomplished together — and to the ideas, innovations and partnerships that will carry us forward!
